Portraits

The base sitting fee of $90 covers an hour of shooting at my preferred location or the location of your choice within Lincoln County. If the destination is farther, travel time will be counted as part of the shoot. If more time is needed, each additional hour of the shoot is billed at $65.
Sit fees include not only the actual photography, but also the equipment transport and full retouching.
Prints are purchased individually - there are no preset packages, so you have the freedom to choose exactly what you want. A simple order form is used.
Proofs will be posted online for print selection. If prints of the chosen proofs are not satisfactory, they may be returned within 30 days for a refund. Additionally, prints damaged during shipping can be returned for replacement, and I will cover the cost of return shipping.

All images displayed in my online galleries are available for purchases in a variety of standard sizes, as shown below. Prints are matted and framed to the next larger standard size by default.
Shipping within the US is $5 for matted or loose prints, $10 for framed work up to 8x12, and variable for larger sizes. All art prints have money back and replacement guarantees. If you are not satisfied with the print version of the image you saw here, you may return it within 30 days in new condition for a full refund. Additionally, prints damaged during shipping can be returned for replacement, and I will cover the cost of return shipping.
Any work that is sold framed is counted in the limted edition, regardless of size. The editions are small, assuring that the value of each will increase over time.

Events

I have covered events in a variety of conditions, from dim night clubs to seaborne vessels, to sunny summer afternoons. Subjects have included ethnic dancers, F-18s in flight, performing musicians, schooners and large chunks of ice.
A number of factors are considered when giving a quote for a particular job. If there is an event you would like me to photograph, we can go over the details and I will give you a clear estimate that includes a creative fee, expenses, and image use. I will work to give you the most value for your money, and the best quality I can provide.

Bands

My band photography rates are as follows:
$120/hour of shoot time (excluding large venues), which includes any processing I do after the fact at no extra charge. A lot of people quote lower rates, but do no editing.
I will provide either a CD or download destination with watermarked images ready for a web gallery. For other uses, we negotiate licensing as described below.

Licenses are per image, depending on intended use and audience. These are ballpark figures for local and regional bands.
$200 for a CD cover or other merchandise (poster, shirt, etc), per specific use.
$120 for CD liner notes
$65 for editorial use (press kit, supply to magazines or papers)
$500 unrestricted use
Other uses are possible, these are just the common ones.

For live performances, I need to be on the venue's guest list, as does an assistant.

If you are sharing the ticket with one or more acts, I will discount my rate by $15/hour for every other act that hires me that night, up to a max $30/hour off. So, if you and two other bands hired me for the same big show, I'd do photos for all for $90/hour.

Commercial Licensing

Photos from my archive are available for licensing, for use in advertising, as graphic art sources, on merchandise, and more. Rates will vary greatly depending on intended use and resolution. If you don't see what you're looking for in the online gallery, please inquire, as there are hundreds of images not posted here that may be of interest.
